10:45am-11:45am | Referring your Clients for Ketamine Assisted Therapy: What to Know and How it Can Help Ketamine has shown great results in alleviated a number of symptoms related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder and chronic pain. Some of the most robust findings indicate that it can alleviate severe suicidal ideation in just one dose. While there are several organizations in Montana that administer Ketamine for psychological suffering, only some pair the medicine with therapy. This presentation will touch on why we think Ketamine works, what it is used for, and what can clients (and therapists) expect when they seek out Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Presenter: Donna Ryngala, Ph.D. Dr Ryngala is a psychologist who has been in practice for almost 20 years. She graduated from the University of Montana and has had extensive training in a number of treatments for behavioral health concerns. In 2023 she completed over 220 hours of CEUs in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy though the Integrative Psychiatric Institute. She is excited to be opening a new clinic with her business partner, Joey Banks, MD, where they will provide Ketamine Assisted Therapy and accept health insurance. They intend to provide preparation and integration through their practice and to collaborate extensively with clients' primary therapists. |
